Agility

Climb walls, hop stones and run courses: shortcuts around the world and a skill that trains while you move.

Agility is a skill that starts at level 1. Train it by using shortcuts: click one and your character climbs, jumps or balances across to the other side. Every crossing gives Agility XP. A shortcut that needs a higher level tells you so and won't let you cross.

See the Agility page for every shortcut, the level it needs and where it is. In the game, hover Agility in the character window's Skills tab (C) to see the courses and your next shortcut. They also show up on region maps as a "Shortcuts" layer.

Shortcuts

  • Brookhollow: the old town wall (level 1) and the river stepping stones (level 8).
  • Millbrook: a stile (level 5).
  • Highmoor: the ring wall (level 20).
  • The Scorched Vale: a rock scramble (level 22).
  • Gullwrack Isle: the broken temple wall (level 35).

Courses

A course is a row of four obstacles. Do them in order, and the last one pays a lap bonus on top of the usual XP. Skipping one or going backwards starts the lap again.

  • Brookhollow course (level 1), in the north-west of town: log, hurdle, stepping stones, climbing frame.
  • Highmoor course (level 25): the same four obstacles, harder and with more XP.
  • Frostfang ridge run (level 40), along the south edge of Sigrun's camp: a frozen log, ice boulders, frost-cracked stones and a cliff ladder. The best XP and lap bonus in the game.

Why train it

Agility doesn't make you walk faster. What it gives you:

  • Shortcuts cut walking time between places.
  • Every 20 Agility levels you take 1% less damage.
  • Achievements: Nimble (Agility 20), Ridge Runner (Agility 40), Free Runner (25 laps, with a title) and Shortcut Taker (100 crossings).

Walking away or starting a fight cancels a crossing before it finishes.
