Heroic dungeons
Beat a dungeon once, then light its Heroic Sigil: tougher monsters, more XP and loot, and Heroic Marks to spend.
The full rules and the shop are on the Heroic dungeons page.
Which dungeons
| Dungeon | Beat first | From level |
|---|---|---|
| The Barrow | The Barrow King | 34 |
| The Sunken City | Nerissa, the Drowned Queen | 42 |
| The Ashen Citadel | The Ashen Regent | 48 |
Turning it on
- Beat the dungeon's boss once, the normal way.
- Go to the Heroic Sigil, a glowing red pillar by the first floor's way in.
- Click it and choose Turn heroic on.
Every monster on the dungeon's floors becomes heroic, including the ones already there. Their names start with "Heroic". Heroic stays on as you go up and down the dungeon's stairs, and switches off when you leave.
What changes
- Monsters have 80% more HP, hit 35% harder and have +6 defence.
- They give 60% more XP and roll better loot.
- They pay Heroic Marks: 12 from the boss, 3 from an elite, and now and then one from anything else.
Spending marks
Quartermaster Brand stands by the Proving Pit in Highmoor. He sells the Heroic Signet and Heroic Medallion, supreme potions, diamonds, hard clue scrolls and dungeon armour, all for marks.
Rewards for the brave
- Achievements: Heroic (a heroic boss), Legend of the Deep Places (10 heroic bosses) and No Easy Way (500 heroic kills).
- Outfits: the Gilded Great Helm, the Heroic Cape and the Heroic Radiance aura. See the wardrobe.
