The Shattered Peaks
The mountain top above Frostfang, where a fallen star feeds a storm with a heart.
The Shattered Peaks are for levels 50 to 65. Take the sky stair beside Rimeclaw's cave at the top of Frostfang Pass.
Skyward Camp
A safe camp at the top of the stair with a waystone, a forge and a fire. Warden Halvard has a task board and a chain of four quests; Ilsa sells potions and starshard ammunition.

More wraiths drift through the Peaks at night. Star crystals (Mining 80) give star shards for Starsteel.
Skarnveil, the Storm Wyrm
At the very top, Skarnveil was the strongest thing in the Emberwild until the tear opened: level 65, lightning from four tiles away, a slam round him, and faster below 40% health. Bring every potion you own. He drops Wyrmfang, Skystring, the Heart of the Storm, the Wyrmscale Aegis, the Crown of the Peaks, a rare Stormrunner saddle and, very rarely, the Wyrmling pet.
Defeating him opens the tear in the sky beside his eyrie, the way into the Riftwastes (levels 60–75).
Gear
The Starsteel, Stormhide and Starweave sets (level 52) drop here and can be smithed from starsteel bars (Smithing 88–97). See Gear sets.
