Waystones and travel
Touch the stone, pay the toll, step out somewhere else.
A waystone is a tall glowing stone that stands in most towns. Click one to open the travel list, then pick where to go.
How it works
- Visit first. A waystone only takes you to places you have already walked to. Places you haven't found yet are greyed out in the list.
- It costs GP: 20 GP plus 3 GP for each level of the place you're going to. The table below lists every price.
- Not in a fight. If anything is chasing you, the stone refuses. Walk away or win first.
- You arrive standing just in front of that town's waystone.
- Diaries make it cheaper. Each region's easy diary takes 25% off trips to that region.
Where the waystones are
Each region page marks its waystone on the map, in the stations layer.

Other ways around
- The ferry from Saltmere's jetty sails to Gullwrack Isle for 150 GP, and the one from Port Varrow's west pier to Mistveil Isle for the same. Coming back is free.
- Press M for the map. The World tab shows every place and the trails between them. Click a place to see the way there.
- Being defeated sends you back to the nearest temple. It doesn't count as free travel: see combat for the death penalty.
