Mistveil Isle

A fog-wrapped island off Port Varrow for levels 52 to 62: giant insects, an orchid grove and the Veiled Oracle.

Map of Mistveil Isle

Mistveil Isle is for levels 52 to 62, between the Shattered Peaks and the Riftwastes. Take the ferry from the end of Port Varrow's west pier. It costs the usual ferry fare, and the way back is free. While you cross, the world map shows your boat sailing out to the island.

Mistmoor Landing

The landing at the end of the island's dock is safe, with a waystone, a forge, a fire and a strongbox (your bank).

  • Seeker Veyla gives a chain of four quests and keeps a task board.
  • Hollis the Trader sells the same Starsteel, Stormhide and Starweave stock as Ilsa at Skyward Camp, and buys your loot.

Where to hunt

Area Levels Monsters
The Fogbound Shore 52–55 Thornhorn beetles, mire striders, fog toads
The Orchid Grove 55–58 Veil mantises, a pack of mist wolves, gloam witches and Mistjaw
The Temple Steps 58–62 Gloam moths, temple sentries, veiled priests
The Veiled Sanctum 60–62 Sanctum shades, sanctum guardians and Oraveth

Some tips:

  • Mire striders are poisonous, and gloam witches and gloam moths slow you.
  • Fog toads spit from four tiles away, so don't stand still in the shallows.
  • Temple sentries throw rocks when you keep your distance.
  • Sanctum shades need Slayer level 55.
  • Mistjaw rules the grove: a huge, slow hunter that slams the ground round it. It comes back about every five minutes.
  • On foggy nights, the Pale Mantis may stand among the orchids. It's a rare and very fast, and it can drop the Pale Carapace.

Oraveth, the Veiled Oracle

At the top of the Temple Steps a door leads down into the Veiled Sanctum. Oraveth waits at the far end. She throws water from four tiles away, slows you, slams the floor round her and attacks much faster below 40% health. She can drop Veilpiercer, the Staff of the Veiled Eye, Mistsong and the Veil of Oraveth, and defeating her earns the title the Mistwalker.
