Your house

Buy a home in Brookhollow, with a hearth, an alchemy table, a bank chest and your trophies, and furnish it the way you like.

Your house

Getting it

  1. Save up 5,000 GP.
  2. Buy a House Deed from Tobias.
  3. Use the deed from your bag (right-click it and choose Use).
  4. The door of the yellow house in the south-west of Brookhollow now opens for you.

Inside

  • A hearth: cook food without walking to the inn.
  • An alchemy table: brew potions at home.
  • A bank chest: your bank, shared with every banker.
  • Trophies on plinths, which appear as you earn achievements: defeating the Bonelord, the Elder Treant, the Deep One and Ashwing, finding 10 rare items, and reaching level 50 Fishing.

Furniture

Tobias sells 44 pieces of furniture, from 40 GP for a cushion to 1,000 GP for the grandest bed. There are beds, couches, armchairs, tables, cabinets, bookcases, lamps, paintings, plants and rugs. He buys them back at a quarter of the price.

  1. Take the piece into your house and left-click it in your bag (or right-click it and choose Place).
  2. A see-through copy follows the mouse. It's green where the piece fits and red where it doesn't.
  3. Press R to turn it, then click a floor tile to place it. Right-click or Esc stops placing.
  4. To move a piece, right-click it and choose Pick up. It goes back into your bag.

Furniture blocks its tile, apart from rugs and cushions, which you can walk over. You can't put a piece where it would block the door or any of the house's stations. Your furniture is saved with your character.

The garden

Owning the house also opens the four garden plots beside it. Grow crops there just like the Millbrook allotments: see Farming.

Like every building, your house is safe. Nothing can attack you inside.
